A Whispering Whiplash!
POTUS is yet to learn in his second term that statecraft is not a
business transaction.

There is fiendish delight in seeing a far right
politician climb down on his far-fetched xenophobic war mongering rhetoric. US
President Donald Trump fell prey to his own political fantasies of plundering
Iranian oil reserves by proclaiming that Iran was ready to fire nukes at US
interests and war was inevitable. Turns out that Iran has plenty of ammunition but
does not have enough fuel to power them to land anywhere across the Atlantic.
Obviously no lessons have been learnt from history. His Republican predecessor President George Bush IInd proclaimed Iraq was under threat under Saddam Hussain because he was developing Weapons of Mass Destruction and triggered the 2nd Gulf War needlessly. WMDs were never found. Bush Junior never admitted to his failure. That accrues to a severe loss of face because of lack of credibility. A costly price to pay for an American President Post IInd World War.
Looks like US President Donald Trump made a
complete fool of himself. First he said Iran is preparing nuclear material
aimed at the US. IAEA did not confirm these allegations. Nothing can justify war crimes and bombing UNESCO World Heritage Sites. Maybe – just maybe it
was his attempt at diverting attention from the Epstein Files revelations. Then
he justified it saying NATO cannot be sustained at the expense of the US tax
payer. Then he failed to stymie Israeli xenophobia.
After intimidating Iranian negotiators on the
nuclear question, he called off negotiations and peremptorily struck off the
Iranian Supreme Leader – Ayatollah Khamenei in the very first strike on Tehran.
Then after the War started he suggested openly that Saudi Arabia and Kuwait pay
for the war costs. Then he claimed to be in discussions with obscure Iranian leadership
on discussions to end the war. This was pure fantasy as no Iranian leader was
confirmed to be in negotiations with the US.
POTUS asked for a $ 400 million dollar grant
from the American Congress which had not passed the resolution for a war in
Iran. Now he wants NATO to defend America against Iran. And on Tuesday 31st
March 2026 he actually said UK and France can buy crude oil and fossil fuels
from the US instead of buying Iranian oil. Ofcourse the pretty petticoat that
is the UK was arm twisted into sending troops to the battleground. He is yet to
learn in his second term that statecraft is not a business transaction. Though
the UK is in the middle of transferring sovereignty to the British Indian Ocean
Territory POTUS insists UK ought to give operational rights to American defense
aircraft in Diego Garcia the Island in the British Indian Ocean Territory. The
relevance of UNSC lies in its neutrality and Gandhian stature to call off
blackmailing players.
By evening of 31st March we heard
that the USA will call the war to halt with or without a “Deal” on Straits of
Hormuz. That means POTUS never listened to CIA and intelligence inputs of the
unsustainability of the war, in the first place, then. He just played by his
insecure instinct in an effort to either win a third term in office, or to gain
a business transaction with Iranian oil companies, like he thought will be
possible with Venezuela. His predecessor Bush Junior thought he can siphon off
Iraqi oil reserves to his own oil rigs in Texas. Then UNSG Kofi Annan had said
then, that Oil For Food was in place in Iraq and no oil can be prospected or
shipped outside Iraq without UN sanctions being lifted.
Whattuh price the voters – the tax payers in USA
are paying on behalf
of the whole world! 31st March evening Al Jazeera played an interview of Secretay of State Marco Rubio who was proclaiming that there is no rule of law in Cuba and Venezuela. Why doesn't he or USA try instilling fundations of Democracy in Saudi Arabia and Kuwait? Perhaps it will be less bloody than a war over oil.
POTUS’s business acumen to extract pound for
flesh is exhibit in his ‘success’ of getting Saudi Arabia UAE to put boots on
ground – a euphemism to send ground troops – although I personally have never
heard of the very existence of UAE’s troops heretofore!
Despite the rich linguistic heritage of Europe,
there is not a word to describe the stupidity of waging war in today’s global
theatre!
Time is the best weapon to call the bluff of all far right politicians. Their xenophobic rhetoric, their megalomania and their statues will met the fate of the sands of time...
